First video conference in Arunachal Pradesh

Itanagar, 27-28 Decr: The First Video Conference for monitoring of on rural development programme was held here, in which various programmes were reviewed by Secretary, RD, Dr.B.S.Banerjee, IAS and Director, Rural Development, Sh.A.K.Singh. Project Directors, DRDA briefed about their programmes. Banerjee gave a time bound programme to the PDs for on-line monitoring, reporting on time, submitting proposals for the drawl of instalments, training, vigilance and monitoring committee meetings, periodical review and maintaining transparency and discipline in the rural development programmes. Secretary mentioned that if the staff of the RD deptt., works wholeheartedly, they would be serving the rural tribal people, and in turn the State and the nation. He said that he will be holding regular video conference every month.   

Secretary attends Performance Review Meeting ay Delhi

Delhi, 22-23 Decr, 2006: Performance Review meeting of on rural development programme was held here, in which various programmes were reviewed by Union Minister of Rural Development, Dr.Raghubans Prasad Singh in the presence of Union Secretary (RD), Dr.S.Pani, Additional and Joint Secretaries and other senior staff. . Secretary, RD of Arunachal Pradesh, Dr.B.S.Banerjee, attended the meeting briefed about our programmes. Banerjee was asked to take up a time bound programme for on-line monitoring and reporting, submitting proposals for the drawl of instalments, training, vigilance and monitoring committee meetings, maintaining transparency and achieving targets. Banerjee mentioned that Arunachal Pradesh is facing specific problems in implementing the schemes because some Districts are not properly connected, banking facilities are inadequate and still 36 blocks are without Banks and there are communications bottlenecks, apart from very high cost on constriction. Union Minister agreed to hold a separate review for NE states.

Itanagar, 22-23 Jan., 2007: Performance Review meeting of on rural development programme was held here, in which various programmes were reviewed by the Arunachal Pradesh Minister of Rural Development, Sh Tanga Byaling in the presence of Secretary (RD) Secretary, RD, Dr.B.S.Banerjee, IAS and Director, Rural Development, Sh.A.K.Singh. Performance of each of the Project Directors, DRDA was reviewed in general and also with particular reference to specific rural development programmes. 
Sh Byaling asked the PDs to accord highest priority to the rural upliftment programmes and maintaining discipline. The best DRDA and the second best DRDS will be awarded, he said. He stressed the need for training and monitoring the programmes as well as timely submission of reports. 
Dr.Banerjee stressed the need for on-line monitoring on time, submitting proposals for the drawl of instalments, training, vigilance and monitoring committee meetings, periodical review and maintaining transparency and inter-departmental coordination for the rural development programmes. Secretary mentioned that if the staff of the RD deptt., works wholeheartedly, they would be serving the rural tribal people, and in turn the State and the nation. He also wrote a D.O. letter to all the Dy. Commissioners for ensuring inter-departmental coordination and helping the rural development programmes to achieve the target. Earlier, Sh Singh in his welcome address thanked the Minister and the Project Directors for attending the meeting. He along with the Joint Directors, Sh Ado and Sh Padu reviewed various programmes, which was closely supervised by Sh Byaling and Banerjee. 

Secretary attends Nodal Officers Meeting and meeting on Hariyali

Delhi, 15-17 Jan, 2007: Nodal Officers meeting of on rural development programme was held here on Monday in which various programmes were reviewed by Union Minister of Rural Development, Dr.Raghubans Prasad Singh in the presence of Union Secretary (RD), Dr.S.Pani, Additional and Joint Secretaries and other senior officers. . Secretary, RD of Arunachal Pradesh, Dr.B.S.Banerjee, attended the meeting and briefed about our programmes. Banerjee also attended the performance review meeting of the Hariyali along with Sh A.K.Saingh, Director. The difficulties in implementing our programmes in the state due to communication bottlenecks, disasters, etc., were explained. Union Minister agreed to hold a separate meting at Guwahati for NE region.
