This Act is to provide for the regulation of compulsory recording of marriage and for matters. The Chief Marriage Recorder shall be the Chief Executive Authority in the State for carrying into execution the provisions of this Act. He will be appointed by the State Government with official notification. Besides Chief Marriage Recorder there will be a District Marriage Recorder in each District for the State of Arunachal Pradesh and Urban Area Marriage Reporter, Rural Area Marriage Reporter will be appointed in the urban area and rural area of the State respectively. The Act also describes how to keep record of all marriages within the State, powers and duties of the concerned Officers and the memorandum of marriage is also described within this Act. |
