Itanagar, Sept 20 :The Governor of Arunachal Pradesh Brig. (Dr.) B.D. Mishra (Retd.) met the
Union Minister of State (Tourism) Shri K.J. Alphons at New Delhi on 20th September 2018. They discussed on specific issues for enhancing and promoting Tourism in Arunachal Pradesh.

The Governor, who is on an official visit to the National Capital New Delhi emphasised on holistic approach in harnessing the tourism potential of Arunachal Pradesh.

The Governor requested the Tourism Minister for commissioning eco friendly, tourist friendly tourism and socially beneficial projects in Arunachal Pradesh.

As a follow up action of his recent meeting with Head Priest of Parasuram Kund and his earlier visit to the sacred Kund, the Governor impressed upon the Minister for its overall holistic development to promote spiritualism and age-old values, while keeping the Indian culture and traditions of the Kund undisturbed.

Sharing his experience, climbing 400 plus steep steps down to the Kund from the hilltop near the temple premise, the Governor said that the need of the time is to facilitate the aged pilgrims and women to perform their ‘Pooja’ with convenience and safety, so that they can carry back good experience from the pilgrimage, the Governor emphasized. He suggested for appropriate provision of the holy water in well approachable Kunds and also with special care for the exclusiveness for women pilgrims.

CM calls for better coordination among NE police

ITANAGAR Sept 13:Chief Minister Pema Khandu said that peace and order is essential for development and economic growth of the state. Addressing the 25th annual conference of Director General of Police/Inspector General of Police and heads of central police organization of North East region here at Dorjee Khandu State Convention Centre today, Khandu said security and development has to go together and without state police being efficient such goals cannot be achieved.

He commended the role of police and security forces in maintaining law and order in the state and in North East. He said security situation in the region has considerably improved due to fresh development impetus given by the centre.

The Chief Minister applauded the role of centre in improving the presence of North East people in central paramilitary forces and in Delhi police. He encouraged youths from Northeast to join these forces and urged the police organisations to carry out awareness programme in this regard.

He further said North East must be looked on as one entity when dealing with security matter. He also said Assam Police has pivotal role to play in security of the region as the state shares borders with almost all the states in North East.

He said though Arunachal has no home grown insurgency but the three eastern districts of the state is affected by it. He enthused confidence on the Police, Para military forces and Army that the matter would be efficiently tackled. Khandu further stressed on strengthening information sharing mechanism, follow up actions and coordination between different state police so that security apparatus is improved.

Earlier Union Minister of State for Home Affairs speaking on the occasion said police officer must exercise calmness, refrain from profanity and exercise empathy even in tense situations. He said people have expectations on police so they tend to be more demanding and abusive towards the police. He also said police can play positive role in promotion of tourism by conducting themselves in decent and helpful way.

Distributes CGI sheets in Siluk

PASIGHAT, Sep 13: “Khandu led state government have launched several pro-people programs and schemes to make Arunachal Pradesh free from poverty, corruption and uncleanliness. I being a partner of the development process is concerned about proper implementation of all state and central government flagship programs at the grass root level and committed to take all welfare programs to the doorsteps of the people besides strengthening the leaderships of PM NarendraModi and CM Pema Khandu at center and state levels respectively towards building a prosperous Arunachal Pradesh”, stated the Advisor to CM Lombo Tayeng today in a public meeting, held at SilukDere, under Mebo Subdivision.Tayeng who is also local MLA of the area, highlighted various achievements including various health and insurance, income generation and agriculture and horticulture promotion schemes etcundertaken by the government to enhance the living standard of the people of the state as a whole. He appreciated the role of party functionaries in particular and also acknowledged their contributions in paving way for rapid development of Mebo subdivision as a whole on all fronts.

Taking privilege, the MLA asked the district administration to create awareness amongst the people about all welfare schemes by conducting “Sarkar AapkeDwar” enabling the people to avail all welfare services at the doorsteps.

Later, Tayeng distributed roofing material (CGI Sheet) to 97 families in Siluk villageunder the Non-Border Development Program. He informed that for the first time in the history, Chief Minister Pema Khandu and his deputy Chowna Mein had made provision of allocating one crore rupees for the development of every block, in the budget. As per provision, only twenty percent was permitted for sanitary and housing purposes. It was inadequate to provide CGI sheets to 97 families and therefore 14 lakhs was spared from his MLA discretionary fund, Tayeng informed. He while appealing the people to spread the message of brotherhood and unity has opined that peace and harmony was prerequisite for development.

In his brief speech, East Siang Deputy Commissioner TamiyoTatak assured for clean and transparent administration. He stressed on promoting ‘work culture’ adding thatgovernment officials should be dedicated and sincere to deliver the public services properly and timely. As announced by the local MLALombo Tayeng, each flood affected family would get compensation soon. He however appealed the people to extend support and cooperation to the administration in implementation process of all government flagship programs in true spirit. Tatakadvised the GBs to be impartial and restrain from political influences.

Mebo ADC HageLailang informed that his administration was all set to host “Sarkar AapkeDwar” at Kiyit Govt. Hr. Sec School on September-17 next, as ordered by the DC. He asked the people to carry valid documents to avail required services on spot/camp.

Mishra (Retd.) visited the various projects, undertaken under the ‘Aspirational District’ programme in Namsai District on 11th September 2018. Accompanied by the First Lady of the State, Smt Neelam Misra, the Governor visited Health & Wellness Centre, Piyong and interacted with beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Saubhagya Scheme / Pradhan Mantri Sahaj Bijli Har Ghar Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana.

The Governor and the First Lady of the State also visited the residence of Shri Monisor Payeng in Adi Ningroo Village, who have availed benefits from Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Saubhagya Scheme and Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana. Monisor and his wife Deepa expressed their gratitude to the State and Central Governments for material assistance, which has changed their lifestyle for better.

The Governor and the First Lady of the State also visited the Anganwadi Centre and Government Upper Primary school at Piyong which are cover under the Aspirational District programme and interacted with Anganwadi workers, ASHAs, students and teachers. They enquired about the nutrition provided to them, mid-day meals and status of textbooks and advised the children to study hard, be obedient to their parents and teachers and keep themselves healthy.

Addressing a public meeting at Piyong, the Governor said nation will develop, when the last person in the queue is taken care of. Therefore, the government and administration should see that every needy person is taken care of and that will to achieve the overall development. It is the vision and mission of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji and Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Pema Khandu ji to see every part of this Frontier State develops. Hence, it is the onerous responsibility of every citizen to ensure that projects are implemented with honesty, transparency, accountability and continuity. This trend must take root in the State, the Governor pointed.

Earlier, the Governor honoured the eldest Gaon Burah Shri Lohani Mantaw, GB, Piyong Khampi and gave away the cheques to beneficiaries under Krishi Vigyan programme for promoting organic farming.

Later, the Governor interacted with the officers concerned with the ‘aspirational District’ projects and programmes. He advised them to set their target and get into the implementation of the projects whole heartedly.

The Governor said that the Government officers are the one who can take the State forward. Therefore, they must be punctual and regular in the office, meet all the visitors to their office, go to the ground, devote full time and energy in Public interest, he emphasized.

While citing reference of Shri Tapi Gao, Director, Elementary Education, who has adopted Govt. Primary School, Raj Bhavan, the Governor advised the Heads of Department and officers to adopt a school each to improve the education status of the State.

Tawang, Sept 12: Dr. Mohesh Chai, Hon’ble Minister, AHV, Agriculture, Horticulture, Fisheries, Sports & Youth Affairs, Govt. of A.P today flagged off the 2nd India-ASEAN Friendship Car Rally from Tawang Monastery ground at 0830 Hrs in the presence of Shri Tsering Tashi, HMLA,(2-Tawang AC), HoDs, Miss Osin Mosu, Brand Ambassador of the Rally, General Public and Media Fraternity.
Speaking on the occasion, Hon’ble Minister welcomed and extended best Wishes to all the participants of the rally. He further added that the Car Rally will definitely benefit Tawang in particular and Arunachal Pradesh in general in promoting the Tourism Sector. He conveyed the best wishes on behalf of Hon’ble Chief Minister, Government of Arunachal Pradesh to all the participants and organising committee of the Rally as the Hon’ble Chief Minister couldn’t attend the programme due to his Pre-occupations.
Whole day the Hon’ble Minister was busy in visiting various Farms under Agriculture and allied Sectors in Tawang and interacted with the officers and officials concerned. He was accompanied by the HMLA,Tawang and SP Tawang during his field visit.
He winded up his day long programme with an interaction with the officials of line departments i.e AHV,Agri,Horti,Fisheries,Sports and Youth Affairs. He instructed the HoDs to be strict on the core issues and come up with innovative ideas so that the farming communities are benefitted and thus fulfil the mission ‘DOUBLING FARMERS’ INCOME’ by 2022. He envisioned of setting up the ‘STATE OF THE ART VETY HOSPITAL’’ at Capital and well equipped District Veterinary Hospitals in all the Districts.

Itangar Sept 05: The Governor of Arunachal Pradesh Brig. (Dr.) B.D. Mishra (Retd.) attended the Teachers’ Day celebration at State Banquet Hall, Itanagar on 5th September 2018 and presented the State Teacher’s Awards to 39 teachers, including 7 lady teachers on the occasion.

Congratulating the awardees, the Governor said that it is their good effort and dedication that the education scenario is improving in the State. He made a special mention of Shri Niranjan Shahoo, a retired teacher, who is still rendering his service gratis to the earlier school where he was teaching, in Kurung Kumey District.

Speaking on the occasion, the Governor recalled the literary accomplishment, educational dedication, nationalism and values of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, which he possessed, preached and practised. He also recalled the great teaching merit of his teachers, Prof. JK Mehta of Allahabad University and Prof. R.N. Mishra of Jiwaji University, Gwalior, on the occasion.

Stating that education is the first barometer of civilized society, the Governor highlighted the history of education in India. He said that it was entirely due to teachers’ greatness that our ancient learning system developed extremely well and in due course of time we had famous universities, like Nalanda and Taxila, where the students from far off countries came to study.

Associating himself with the teaching community, the Governor said that in his 35 years in Army, he was either studying in Military Colleges, or teaching in Military Colleges, or fighting war, some of low intensity, some of high intensity and some of all out dimension. He said that the thoughts of Teacher- Leaner Teaching, – Learning always have been in his mind, heart and practice.

The Governor called upon all including parents, politicians and educationists to actively participate in the mission to improve education status in the State. Stating that education is the Key Result Area (KRA), he suggested for policies and programmes for improving the educational scenario of the State, which he said should have Pan Arunachal Approach, quality involvement of all stakeholders with missionary zeal, every penny must be honestly spent for more returns, there must be clear vision to achieve all round better educational environment in the State enabling students for decent, self support and Stand up in life.

Underscoring the challenges in the education sector, the Governor said that in the educational programmes, utilization of resources, development of infrastructure and procurement and use of latest training / teaching aids, there must be transparency, accountability, fair policy and even playground for students, and teachers.

Education Minister Shri Honchun Ngandam, Education Secretary Smt Madhu Rani Teotia and Special Secretary (Education) Shri Rahul Singh also spoke on the occasion.

Earlier the Governor released a book, titled ‘Gandhi ji’s Nai Talim’.

NCC is a very important part of academic curricula: Governor

NCC inculcated self-discipline, obedience, sincerity and determination amongst the cadets: Governor

Itanagar, Sept 01:The Governor of Arunachal Pradesh Brig. (Dr.) B.D. Mishra (Retd.) interacted with the officers and cadets National Cadet Corps (NCC), 1 Arunachal Pradesh Battalion NCC at Raj Bhavan, Itanagar on 1st September 2018.
The Governor said that NCC is a very important part of academic curricula, which has been instilling nationalism, patriotism and spirit of ‘Nation First’ amongst the young students. It has inculcated self-discipline, obedience, sincerity and determination amongst the cadets. He emphasized that there must be more and more NCC Units, which will help in developing a disciplined human resource in our State.
Sharing his idea of having Independence Day NCC Camp, in place of Republic Day NCC Camp to avoid academic losses to the students, participating in RD Camp, the Governor asked the officers and cadets to provide him required inputs, so that it can be pursued at the highest decision making authority’s level.
